A weekly countdown of the ten values that shaped my life

In Ethics class this week we have been talking about what we value and how it shapes our futures. I would like to share with you ten values that molded my own life. I will share one value a week.
  • l.  My family - Having a war bride mother from Ireland and having a father in the military basically set the tone for my life to always include:
    • adventure
    • taking chances
    • school was the "job" we had to succeed at - because we were going to take every opportunity America had to give children to get ahead!
    • knowing that hard work bring about results
    • my family and its cohesiveness were worth any sacrifice. (Trying accompanying your father to Goose Bay, Labrador, and attending Goose Bay Dependent's High School for two years!). My mother always told us that we would always have to say good by to friends but family relationships were for life!
